Welcome to my portfolio guide! I am excited to share my data analytics projects and courses with you. My portfolio is focused on SQL, Python, and Tableau projects.

In my SQL projects, I have worked on data automation integration and building a database pipeline for music streaming data. These projects required skills in data extraction, data transformation, table creation, trigger development, and SQL functions like aggregations, joins, and subqueries.

For my Python projects, I have worked on TMDb movie analysis and building a database pipeline for music streaming data. These projects required skills in data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, analysis, and using libraries such as pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn, os, and glob.

Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio. If you have any questions or would like to chat, please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.

TMDb-Movies

The TMDb-Movies project is a data analysis project that explores a dataset of over 10,000 movies from The Movie Database (TMDb). The project uses Python and various data analysis and visualization tools to answer research questions such as the most popular genres and the relationship between budget and revenue. Skills used in the project include data cleaning, data exploration, and visualization using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.

Sparkify Data Pipline & Database

Sparkify, a music streaming startup, has been collecting data about songs and user activity in JSON files. The company aims to analyze this data to understand user behavior, preferences, and trends to make data-driven decisions and improve their service.

To make the data easily accessible and useful for analysis, it is necessary to create a structured database that organizes the data in a meaningful way. This database will help Sparkify's analytics team perform queries and gain insights that can drive the company's strategic and operational decisions.

Game to Movie Adaptation

I am currently working on a data analytics project focused on game to movie adaptations. The project aims to analyze the success of game to movie adaptations over the past decade by evaluating box office revenue, critical reception, and audience feedback. Through this analysis, we hope to identify trends and insights that could inform future game to movie adaptations and help production companies make more informed decisions.

Key Work Projects and Collaborations

Over the course of several work projects, I have demonstrated my proficiency in data analytics and project management. I have identified process gaps and utilized data analytics tools to find the root causes of issues, resulting in more efficient and cost-effective processes. Additionally, I have developed effective training materials and improved cross-functional communication and collaboration. My experience in data analytics and project management has allowed me to contribute to the improvement of various processes and departments, demonstrating my ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions.

EBT Process and Engineering Update

  •

Collaborated with various departments including Process and Content, Learning and Development, Engineering, and Project Management to update our admin pages and display appropriate information.

  •

Developed new training documents for BPO sites and updated policies and procedures to reduce costs and redundancies.

  •

Demonstrated effective project management skills and contributed to improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of EBT process and engineering.

Problem Solver: Addressing Geo-Location Pin Issue Impacting All Tiers

  •

Took the initiative to bring up the Geo-Location Pin Issue with Product Support (PS) and persisted in following up on the issue every month.

  •

Worked closely with a Product Support Specialist to find a more direct way to assist while considering the limitations and needs of each department.

  •

Developed effective project management skills by creating a Google doc with a process to verify agent tickets and a spreadsheet to best address PS's departmental needs.

  •

Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration skills by facilitating cross-functional meetings and contributing to the improvement of cross-functional collaboration.

  •

Ensured a temporary solution was in place to minimize the impact on customers while continuing to work on finding a permanent solution.

Finding an Opportunity in our Pickup Process

  •

Identified a process gap that was causing financial losses and optimized workload and process by working with Trust & Safety and the BPO sites to identify root causes.

  •

Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics by utilizing SQL within Periscope, employing JOIN and CASE language to pull and display relevant information, effectively analyzing data.

  •

Implemented a SQL query that revealed opportunities and suggestions for procedural updates in the Partner Picker system. This initiative resulted in substantial cost savings over a six-month period, including:

42k reduction in contacts
~$300k reduction in contact costs
$9k reduction in appeasement costs
~$140k increase in captured late cancellation fees

  •

By effectively utilizing SQL and driving process improvements, played a key role in enhancing performance, reducing costs, and maximizing revenue in the Partner Picker system.

Developed Training Documents

  •

Worked with co-workers and management to develop effective training material.

  •

Had meetings with Learning and Development to better address and configure aspects of training, demonstrating effective collaboration and communication skills.

  •

Contributed to improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the training process.

Created a Welcome Kit for New Hires

  •

Saw an opportunity for further information to be condensed and shared with new hires out of training and created a quick go-to guide on how to best set up their work station for remote working.

  •

Developed effective communication and collaboration skills by working with co-workers and management to develop training material.

  •

Contributed to improving the overall onboarding experience for new hires and received appreciation from many new hires across the department.
